The Baptist Mission Church of India (Regd.), working in fellowship with the Baptist Union of North India (Established 1947), is a Christ-centred Baptist fellowship committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, strengthening local churches, and serving communities across India through Biblical ministry. Founded upon the authority of the Holy Scriptures and the Lordship of Jesus Christ, ouro ministry exists to glorify God by making disciples, planting churches, equipping Christian leaders, and demonstrating God’s love through compassionate service.
Our heritage is rooted in the historic Baptist witness in North India. We continue to uphold the timeless principles of Baptist faith, including the authority of the Bible, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, believer’s baptism, the priesthood of all believers, congregational fellowship, religious liberty, and the Great Commission entrusted by our Lord.
We believe that every local church should be a vibrant centre of worship, prayer, discipleship, evangelism, and Christian fellowship. Therefore, we encourage churches to grow spiritually, minister faithfully, and actively participate in sharing the Gospel throughout India and beyond.
The Baptist Mission Church of India and the Baptist Union of North India work together to provide leadership training, pastoral development, theological education, mission support, youth ministry, women’s ministry, children’s programmes, humanitarian outreach, and community development initiatives. Through conferences, seminars, Bible colleges, leadership workshops, and mission partnerships, we seek to equip believers for effective Christian service.
We are committed to serving people without discrimination, reflecting Christ’s compassion through education, relief work, healthcare support, family ministries, and community development programmes. Mission
The mission of the Baptist Mission Church of India (Regd.) and the Baptist Union of North India (Established 1947) is to faithfully fulfil the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ by proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, planting churches, equipping Christian leaders, and serving society through the love of Christ.
We are committed to preaching the message of salvation found only in Jesus Christ, calling people to repentance, faith, and new life through the power of the Holy Spirit. Evangelism remains at the heart of our ministry as we seek to reach every generation with the hope of the Gospel.
Our mission is to establish and strengthen Biblically sound Baptist churches that faithfully worship God, teach His Word, administer the ordinances, care for believers, and actively participate in local and global missions. Healthy churches become centres of spiritual growth, Christian fellowship, prayer, and compassionate service.
We seek to train pastors, missionaries, evangelists, and church leaders through Biblical and theological education, leadership development programmes, seminars, conferences, Bible colleges, and mentoring. Our desire is to prepare faithful servants who lead with wisdom, humility, integrity, and spiritual maturity.
We are dedicated to developing ministries for children, youth, women, families, and senior believers, recognising that every generation has a vital role in the life of Christ’s Church. Through Christian education and discipleship, we encourage believers to discover and faithfully use their spiritual gifts.
Our mission extends beyond the walls of the church into society. We serve communities through education, medical assistance, humanitarian relief, social development, disaster response, poverty alleviation, and compassionate outreach. We seek to reflect Christ’s love through practical service while maintaining our commitment to Biblical truth.
We also encourage unity, fellowship, cooperation, and mutual support among Baptist churches throughout India. Working together enables us to strengthen our witness, expand mission opportunities, and serve more effectively.
Everything we do is guided by Scripture, empowered by prayer, and focused on bringing glory to God. Our mission is not merely to build institutions but to make faithful disciples who honour Jesus Christ in every area of life until He comes again.
Vision
Our vision is to glorify God by building a strong, Biblically faithful, Spirit-filled Baptist movement that proclaims the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout India and beyond. We envision vibrant churches in every community where people worship God sincerely, grow in Biblical faith, serve one another with love, and faithfully proclaim the message of salvation.
We desire to see every believer become a mature disciple of Christ who lives according to the teachings of Scripture and demonstrates Christian character in daily life. Through discipleship, prayer, worship, and faithful preaching of God’s Word, we seek to develop spiritually healthy congregations that influence families, communities, and the nation.
Our vision includes planting new churches in towns, villages, cities, and unreached areas where the Gospel has not yet been fully proclaimed. We believe every community deserves the opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and experience the transforming power of God’s grace.
We are committed to raising up spiritually mature pastors, evangelists, missionaries, teachers, and Christian leaders who are firmly grounded in Biblical truth and equipped to lead with integrity, humility, wisdom, and compassion. Through theological education, leadership training, mentoring, and practical ministry experience, we seek to prepare faithful servants for future generations.
Our vision also embraces ministries that strengthen families, empower women, nurture children, encourage youth, support senior citizens, and serve the poor and vulnerable. We believe the Church should demonstrate Christ’s love through practical acts of mercy, justice, education, healthcare, disaster relief, and community development.
We seek unity among Baptist churches while respecting the autonomy of every local congregation. Through cooperation, fellowship, and mutual encouragement, we desire to strengthen the witness of Baptist believers throughout India.
Above all, our vision is that the name of Jesus Christ will be exalted in every church, every home, every village, every city, and every nation. We pray that lives will be transformed, churches strengthened, leaders equipped, communities renewed, and God glorified through the faithful ministry of the Baptist Mission Church of India and the Baptist Union of North India.

Inspired by the enduring legacy of William Carey, the Father of Modern Missions in India, BUNI 1947 carries forward a rich heritage of faith, mission, and Christian service. Since its establishment in 1947, BUNI has remained committed to biblical faithfulness, evangelism, discipleship, education, and compassionate service.
Building upon the missionary vision and pioneering work of William Carey, we seek to strengthen the Church, equip Christian leaders, serve communities, and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ across India. Our heritage reminds us that the mission of the Church is not only to proclaim Christ, but also to demonstrate His love through education, humanitarian service, and community transformation.
